I met Ronald at the pub yesterday. Ron is an old friend from school, and I was seeing him after a few years. He hadn’t changed much from school- the same messy hair, the same nose, the same brown eyes. As we caught up with what we had done in the last few years, one of his descriptions caught my attention. It was his experience of skiiing in Val d’ Isere. The place is a self contained ski resort, and Ron had enjoyed his time there. Skiing wasn’t new to him, he had gone skiing in La Plagne as part of a school tour, and had also tried it out while staying in Courchevel chalets as a child. The way he described the place, I felt it quite right for a vacation next winter. Let me call up my travel agent soon.
