Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist.org, proved that he is a true visionary when he decided for Craigslist.org to remain strictly non-corporate. Because Newmark didn’t go for the money that advertising makes, Craigslist.org retained its integrity. People can go to Craigslist.org without having advertisements and sponsor products pushed into their faces all the time.

Craigslist.org remains the online community where people have a sense of belonging. People from all over can reach out to each other and offer their help like they were next door neighbors. Just like what inspired Craig Newmark to start Craigslist.org in the first place.
