Janitorial Services: What Options Does an Organization Have?
Janitorial servicesare among the most important services that organizations of all sizes and types need. No organization is can really claim to be ‘free’ from the need for janitorial services, because regardless of whether you are a retail outlet, an educational institution, a health institution, an industrial factory or a government agency (and anything else in that range), you are sure to need some sort of janitorial services if your organization is to continue functioning properly.
Unfortunately, when people are designing organizations, things like janitorial services (and where they are to be gotten from) tend to be overlooked – never mind the fact that it would be near impossible for an organization to function without such janitorial services.
The options of an organization, as far as janitorial services go are really clear-cut.
An organization can either opt to create a janitorial services department in-house, or opt to source for such janitorial services from an independent business specializing in their provision. The trend with most organizations in recent days, however, has been to ‘source’ for their janitorial from the independent businesses specializing in the provision of such janitorial services (rather that trying to do janitorial duties ‘in-house’), because it is an established fact that such independent janitorial services providers tend to be more effective in their service provision, and are typically more cost-effective in the long run.
